Legacy vault leagues

Effective date: October 25, 2026
Version: 2.0

Before October 2026, some Tudys leagues were staked: to join one, a member locked Sepolia test tokens (test ETH or test USDC) in an on-chain vault, and the vault shared them out when the league was settled. Tudys has since become free to play. This page explains what happens to the old staked leagues. It is part of our Terms.

These test tokens never had any value (see the Testnet notice).

1. No new staked leagues

  • Tudys no longer creates vaults. Every new league is free and has no on-chain part.
  • No one can join a staked league. They are closed to new members.
  • On October 25, 2026, none of the 55 vaults was taking new members, and 13 still held test tokens that had not been settled.
  • Staked leagues are archived. Their league pages now only say that the league is archived, and their members, picks and tables are no longer shown on the Platform.

2. How the vaults work

Each staked league has its own ContestVault contract, created by the Tudys VaultFactory on Sepolia. A vault holds its members' test tokens and keeps track of who joined, what each member put in and what each member can claim. It stops taking new members when its league starts.

Vault contracts can't be changed once created. Changes to the factory only affect vaults created after the change.

3. Getting your test tokens back

How you get your test tokens back depends on the state of your league's vault:

  1. The vault was never settled. These vaults will be refunded by the Tudys Core Safe, a Sepolia multi-signature wallet that needs two of its three owners to approve each action. A refund sends a member's whole remaining test tokens straight to the wallet that joined. You don't need to do anything. A wallet that has been refunded can't also claim from that vault.
  2. The vault was settled. If your league was settled, the vault sets the amount each member can claim. The Tudys app no longer has a Claim button, so if you haven't claimed yet, call the claim() function of your league's vault from the wallet you joined with, for example on a Sepolia block explorer (section 6 explains how to find the vault). Claiming is a Sepolia transaction, so you need a little Sepolia test ETH for gas.

If you think a vault still holds test tokens for your wallet, contact us with the league link and your wallet address.

4. Who controls the vaults

The VaultFactory is an upgradeable contract. Its privileged functions are controlled through an access manager contract, whose administrator is the Core Safe. Each power is a separate role:

  • the settlement bot could settle a vault once (within a cap per token) and handle its fees. It is retired and no longer settles vaults;
  • a guardian can pause the factory, or freeze settlement, for a limited time;
  • the Core Safe holds every other role, including upgrades, configuration, refunds and rescuing test tokens to the treasury. Upgrades, configuration changes, rescues and settlements by the Safe have a one-hour delay before they can run.

Since the factory upgrade of October 25, 2026, the factory can't send a vault's test tokens to an address of someone's choosing: a refund pays only the member, and a rescue pays only the Tudys treasury.

The Tudys app no longer holds the role that creates vaults, so it can't create new ones.

5. Risks

  • Bugs. The contracts are experimental and could contain bugs that lock or misdirect test tokens.
  • No reversal. Blockchain transactions can't be reversed or cancelled, by you or by us.
  • Network changes. Sepolia can be reset or shut down, and the vaults and their test tokens could disappear with it.
  • Admin control. The Core Safe can affect what a vault pays out, and so can the retired settlement bot's key until its role is removed. Mistakes or a compromised key could cause errors. The caps, delays and separate roles above limit what any single key can do.
  • Wrong network. Only ever interact with these contracts on Sepolia. Never send real assets to them.

6. Addresses (Sepolia, chain ID 11155111)

  • VaultFactory (proxy): 0xF84902060FE7107F5d28Cc55FF18cC98871BDD73
  • Access manager: 0xe73F1673415E788f6C78a3470C15cDc8B91C794d
  • Core Safe: 0x9DdCd16D46BF0CE907814F0DDC84B44d8aeB69A4
  • Each vault is created by the VaultFactory, so you can find every vault from the factory's activity on a block explorer.

You can check every contract and transaction on a Sepolia block explorer such as sepolia.etherscan.io.
