Terms of Service

Effective date: October 25, 2026
Version: 2.0

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tudys ("Tudys", "we", "us", "our"). They apply whenever you use the Tudys website and services (the "Platform"). If you do not agree to them, do not use the Platform.

Our Privacy Policy, Testnet notice, Fair play rules and the Legacy vault leagues page are part of these Terms.

1. What Tudys is

Tudys is a free fantasy sports game. You join leagues, pick a team in each fixture, earn points when your pick is right and climb the league table.

  • Leagues are free. Joining a league, picking and leaving cost nothing. There is no entry fee, nothing to deposit and no transaction to send.
  • Points are only a score. Points and table positions exist only inside the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for anything, and we never reward them with money, goods or tokens.
  • No fees. We do not charge for the Platform and we do not take a cut of anything.
  • Test network only. Tudys runs only on the Sepolia Ethereum test network (chain ID 11155111). We do not operate on Ethereum mainnet or any other network. Sepolia test tokens have no value; see the Testnet notice.

Tudys is a game of sports knowledge played for fun and bragging rights. It is not a betting service and we do not accept money from anyone for any part of it.

2. Who can use Tudys

You must:

  1. be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher;
  2. be able to agree to these Terms;
  3. not be barred from using the Platform by the law that applies to you, including sanctions laws; and
  4. follow these Terms and the Fair play rules.

3. Your account is your wallet

3.1 Your wallet is your player ID

You do not create a username or password. You connect a crypto wallet, and its address is your player ID: your memberships, picks, nicknames and the leagues you run are all tied to it.

We never ask for and never receive your private key or recovery phrase. Anyone who controls your wallet controls your Tudys account, and we cannot recover, reset or move an account if you lose access to the wallet.

3.2 Signing in and the wallet session

To prove you control a wallet, you sign a short sign-in message with it (a "Sign-In with Ethereum" message). Signing a message is free and sends no transaction. Each message names the action it is for, our website and a one-time code, and it expires after 5 minutes.

When you sign the session message, we set a wallet session: a secure cookie that lasts 24 hours. While it is active you can join and leave leagues, pick, and handle invites, notes and requests to join in the leagues you run, without signing again. Ending the session (or clearing your cookies) signs you out. Some actions, such as editing or deleting a league, moderating members or transferring a league, still ask for a fresh signature each time.

We will never ask you to sign a message automatically or without telling you what it is for. Read every message before you sign it; see the Testnet notice for signing safety.

3.3 You are responsible for your wallet

You are responsible for everything done with your wallet and your wallet session, for keeping your wallet and devices secure, and for checking what you sign.

4. Playing in leagues

4.1 Joining

A league may be public (anyone can join until it closes to new members) or private (only wallets the league's staff invite, or people holding a working invite link). A league can close to new members at a set time, and it can have a member limit. When a league allows it, a wallet that cannot join directly can ask to join, and the league's staff decide.

You may leave a league before it starts. After it starts, you stay on its table.

4.2 Picks

  • You pick the home or the away team in each fixture of a league, before that fixture kicks off.
  • The points on offer for each side are set by us and are locked when you make the pick. A later change to the points on offer does not change your pick.
  • You can remove a pick before kickoff. After kickoff it cannot be changed.
  • Before kickoff, other players do not see which side you picked.

4.3 Results and the table

Results come from third-party sports data. A pick is scored after its fixture ends: a right pick earns the points on offer and a wrong pick earns nothing. If a fixture ends in a draw, or is postponed, cancelled or abandoned, every pick on it is voided: it counts as neither right nor wrong and earns the 100 base points. A football fixture decided after 90 minutes (in extra time or on penalties) counts as a draw. Each league says whether its table ranks members by points or by the number of right picks.

We may correct a result, a score or a table if we find an error. League tables are final once the league closes, but we may still correct obvious errors.

4.4 Our data can be wrong

Fixtures, kickoff times, points on offer, results and team logos come from third-party sources and our own automated jobs. They can be late, incomplete or wrong. Because nothing of value depends on them, our only remedy for an error is to correct it when we can.

5. Running a league

Platform admins approve the wallets that may create leagues. The wallet that creates a league is its owner, and the owner can add up to five co-owners. Owners and co-owners together are the league's staff.

5.1 What staff can do

Staff can, for their own league:

  • set its name, description, dates, competitions, member limit, scoring and whether it is public or private;
  • create invite links (shared or personal, with labels, use limits and expiry dates), invite wallets by address with a nickname, and turn on settings that let members share the invite link or let other wallets ask to join;
  • approve or decline requests to join;
  • give members nicknames on the league table;
  • post notes to members and pin one of them;
  • remove or ban members, and restore them; and
  • finish the league, or start a new run of it ("Run it back").

Only the owner (or a platform admin) can add or remove co-owners, transfer ownership or delete the league.

5.2 Owner responsibilities

If you run a league, you agree that you will:

  1. invite only people who want to be invited, and keep invite links to the audience you mean them for;
  2. treat members fairly and moderate in good faith: remove or ban members for a reason, not to change who wins;
  3. write league names, descriptions, notes, nicknames and invite labels that follow these Terms and the Fair play rules;
  4. give members only nicknames they would be happy to see on a public table, and never use a nickname to reveal someone's real identity without their consent;
  5. never organise side bets, wagers, entry fees, prizes or any exchange of money or value around a Tudys league, whether on the Platform or anywhere else. Tudys leagues are free and are played for points only; and
  6. follow the law that applies to you and to your members.

We may remove staff rights, transfer a league to another owner or close a league if its staff break these rules.

6. The Daily coupon

Every day, the platform runs a free public league called the Daily coupon. It covers that day's fixtures (UTC) that have points on offer, anyone can join it, and it closes like any other league. It has no owner: platform admins manage it. Like every Tudys league, it is played for points only.

7. Your content

7.1 What counts as your content

"Your content" is the text you add to the Platform: league names and descriptions, notes, nicknames (your own and those you give others), invite link labels, messages sent with a request to join, and the note sent with a request to run leagues.

7.2 Licence to display it

You keep any rights you have in your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and share your content as needed to run the Platform: for example to show a league's name, description and notes to its members, to show nicknames on league tables and share cards, and to show your request message to a league's staff. This licence ends when your content is deleted from the Platform, except for copies we must keep for security or by law, or that others already shared.

7.3 Rules for your content

Your content must not:

  • be unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit;
  • reveal someone's private information (such as a real name, address or phone number) without their consent;
  • impersonate Tudys, a platform admin or another person;
  • advertise or arrange betting, gambling, the sale of anything, or any exchange of money around Tudys;
  • contain links or text meant to trick people into signing messages or transactions, or into revealing a recovery phrase; or
  • infringe anyone else's rights.

Some content is public: names and descriptions of public leagues, and nicknames on league tables. Don't put anything in your content that you want to keep private.

8. Moderation

8.1 League staff

League staff can remove members from their league, ban them (a banned wallet cannot rejoin that league) and restore them. They can delete notes, revoke invite links and invites, and decline requests to join.

8.2 Platform admins

Platform admins moderate the whole Platform. They can:

  • hide a league (it then shows as "Unavailable league" to everyone else), or show it again;
  • feature a league in the league directory, or stop featuring it;
  • transfer a league to a new owner;
  • close (finish) a league;
  • remove members, notes and other content, and act as staff in any league; and
  • approve, decline or revoke the wallets allowed to create leagues.

We moderate to keep the Platform safe and fair. We are not obliged to review content before it appears, and we may act without notice. Admin actions are recorded in an audit log.

8.3 Restricting your use

We may restrict or end your use of the Platform, or of any league, if you break these Terms or the Fair play rules, if the law requires it, or to protect other players or the Platform. You can stop using Tudys at any time.

9. Things you must not do

You must not:

  1. buy, sell, trade, rent or lend for value any Tudys account, wallet history, pick, point, table position, league or invite, or offer to do so;
  2. organise or take part in betting, wagering or any exchange of value based on Tudys leagues or results;
  3. use automated tools to join leagues or make picks at scale, scrape the Platform beyond normal use, or get around rate limits;
  4. attack, probe or interfere with the Platform, its contracts or its data, or exploit a bug instead of reporting it;
  5. impersonate Tudys or anyone else, or phish for signatures, keys or recovery phrases;
  6. harass other players or league staff; or
  7. use the Platform in breach of the law.

10. Legacy vault leagues

Before October 2026, some Tudys leagues were "staked": members locked Sepolia test tokens (test ETH or test USDC) in an on-chain vault. We no longer create these leagues or vaults, no one can join one, and their league pages are archived. Vaults that were never settled will be refunded by the Tudys Core Safe straight to the wallet that joined, with nothing for members to do; members of a settled vault who haven't claimed can call the vault's claim() function themselves, for example on a block explorer. These test tokens never had any value. The Legacy vault leagues page explains how this works and the risks of the old vault contracts.

11. Our software and brand

We own the Platform's software, design, the Tudys name and logo. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Platform under these Terms. Do not copy the Platform, use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, or frame the Platform on another site. Sports data, team names and logos belong to their owners.

12. No warranty

The Platform is a free test service. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Platform, its data or the Sepolia network will be available, error-free or secure. We may change, pause or shut down any part of the Platform at any time.

13. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill;
  • we are not liable for losses caused by your wallet, your signatures, third-party wallets, networks, data sources or other services, or the Sepolia network; and
  • our total liability for all claims about the Platform is limited to USD 100.

Some places do not allow these limits. Where they don't, our liability is limited as far as the law there allows.

14. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from claims by others that arise from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your conduct toward other players, including any side arrangement you make around a Tudys league.

15. Changes to the Platform and to these Terms

We may change these Terms. When we do, we update the effective date and version at the top of this page, and for important changes we tell you on the Platform. If you keep using Tudys after a change, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform.

16. General

  • Governing law and disputes: [TO BE SET WITH LEGAL COUNSEL]. Before any formal claim, contact us so we can try to resolve it.
  • Severability: if part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver: if we don't enforce a term, we can still enforce it later.
  • Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example to a successor running the Platform.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the pages they name are the whole agreement between you and us about the Platform.
